Default Will NCSoft return this faulty software because of unresolved crash issue?

I have had the crashing problem that has been discussed in other threads and have covered all my bases. Below are the things I have done to try to resolve this issue.

1. Tried newest drivers for vid card.
2. Tried older recommended drivers
3. Got lastest audio drivers
4. Defragged
5. Tested memory over night
6. Updated BIOS
7. Reinstalled the game
8. Reinstalled windows
9. Updated chipset drivers
10. Bought new hard drive
11. RMAd video card

Still nothing has worked. I have a Gigabyte 3D Rocket Cooler Pro on my Prescott 3.2, and 4 case fans. Heat isn't the issue. Drivers aren't the issue. The issue is in the software, as evidence of the other threads. I spent $70 dollars on the game, plus $250 on a new harddrive, plus $15 to RMA my card, plus the countless nights I spent deticated to fix this issue.

As it is, this game is still unplayable on my system; it hard crashes minutes into the game. Is there some kind of return policy for defetive software that Arenanet and NC Software might have? My other games such as BF2, D3, HL2, and others work perfectly fine with the hardware I own. I am confident that the GW itself has some kind of issue and no amount of hardware will fix it.

I've sunk too much time and money into this and I would like to return the product. I have all of the stuff that came with the game yet, (I like to showcase boxes for somereason) so it would be no problem to send it all back.

Thanks,
Graeme Timmins

My system is as follows...

P4 Prescott 3.2Ghz
Gigabyte 8KNXP Pro Rev 2.0
Gigabyte 3D Rocket Cooler Pro
2x2x512 Cosair XMS PC3200
BFGTech 6800GT OC
Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
Seagate Baracuda 300gig IDE HD

this may seem a very stupid question but did you do all the troubleshooting on your own or have you been in constant contact with the tech support people at GW?

also there are going to be a few people who have the setup where some unexplained thing doesnt work

WHAT IS THE BIOS TEMP ON CPU JUST BEFORE SHUTDOWN?
actual temp not it works for the others so temp cant be it

a fundamental flaw in the software would hit a large segment of players not just the handful posting of which many get it straightened out

Have you gone to ArenaNet's tech support about this? Try support.guildwars.com, and submit a new question. Go to start->run and type in dxdiag, and then click on the "Save this Information" button. Give the file that creates to the folks at ArenaNet- that will tell them what your setup is and what drivers you're using. They should be able to figure out what's going on.

I don't think you'll have much luck getting a return, though if it is possible, it would probably be through proving to them that the game isn't working by going through the proper support channels.

Its the ram timings. For some reason GW hates a CAS latency of 2. I know it sucks that you have to change it to 3 to play without crashes but it worked for me.

Thumbs down Not a rich guy, just a consumer who expects a product to work as intended

I bought the new hard drive, I didn't have to. My old one is going to be RMA'd as well. That's not the point. This has come out of no where and I've done all I can. I have contacted support and hopefully they will respond to my question within the next day or two.

I also have a 480 TruBlue Antec PSU. I haven't checked that as I don't have a multimeter, but given the brand I'd expect it to be something else and not the PSU.

I think it is only fair that if this issue is effecting rather large group of consumers (Given that there is thread after thread addressing this issue with little or no luck at all of helping each other), that Arenanet and NC Soft rectify the issue by refunding the product. Or at least giving us a credit of some kind.
